What’s Left To Do As a Senior?

Well after asking a few seniors and college freshmen for advice, and surprisingly the answer I got the most was “work hard” and “maintain your grades.” Despite the occasional lazy senior, many work just as hard to make sure they aren’t declined by their college and to study for the all important AP tests.  Working hard doesn’t just mean academics. Many seniors spend their extra time after finishing their college applications on extracurricular activities, such as sports or a job.

But after getting all that boring stuff out of the way what should seniors do with their free time? Well, after the important stuff they are pretty much free to do whatever they want, whether it’s going out with their friends, taking time to reminisce in the places they’re saying goodbye to, or just spending time relaxing at home. But definitely the most important thing to seniors leaving on their own is spending time with their families, as WHS senior Mike Xiang put it, “Don’t just spend your newly acquired free time to procrastinate or be lazy; use it to strengthen friendships and grow closer with your family. In a few months, you won’t be seeing them often.”
