Club Shoutout: Winchester High School Figure Skating Team

At competitions, you can enter a team event and/or an individual event at any level. An individual event is when one skater competes his or her routine to music. The team event is when a list of jumps, spins, and moves are divided up so each team member performs a
few of the skills in front of judges.

This past year, the team attended several competitions including the Harvestfest High School Competition in October, the Thanksgiving Classic in November, and the Winterfest High School Competition in January. The Winchester High School Figure Skating Team has been very successful, placing second in Level B Team Maneuvers at the Thanksgiving Classic, first in Level C Team Maneuvers at the Winterfest High School Competition, and third in Level B
Team Maneuvers at Winterfest as well. The points gained from each competition accumulate throughout the year, and the team is currently in 7th out of 14 high schools with 17 points!
We are so proud of all the success we have had this season and cannot wait for next season.

If you or anyone you know of that goes to Winchester High School is interested in joining the team for the 2018-19 school year or would like to learn more about the team, please email Alicia Yang at We would love to welcome new members to the team!
